Recommendations and Applications:
1102 Resin is made from catalytic polymerization of aliphatic hydrocarbon. It is mixture of hydrocarbon
resin as main ingredients, and appears yellowish to brownish red flake.
1102 is transparency and glossy , has good solubility and compatibility , good water resistance ,
insulation , good chemical stability under acid and alkaline condition.
It also has characteristics like good bonding with other material , low thermal conductivity.
Application of 1102 Resin:
1. Coating: Hydrocarbon resin can be blended with various kinds of dry oil to produce paint.
Mixing all kinds of resin with pigment will obtain coating, which is widely used on surface coating
of vehicles, ships, bridges. The resin greatly reduce the production cost, and improve the coating
film’s gloss, hardness, water resistance, alkali resistance as well.
2. Rubber: Hydrocarbon resin is used as additive of natural and synthetic rubber.
It not only does not influence the vulcanizate process, but also tackify, reinforce, soften the
rubber. It can improve the precessing operation, increase product’s hardness and elasticity.
Because the resin improve the strength aging resistance of SBR, it is used as SBR softener,
to produce rubber hose, triangle, and tires.
3. Adhesive: Hydrocarbon resin has good bonding performance, widely used as tackifier
in adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. It improve the water resistance when it is
used to produce plywood, wall paper and leather adhesive. Due to its small solidification shrinkage,
hydrocarbon resin can be used in foundry industry as well.
4. Printing ink: Because of its water resistance and dry resistance, add hydrocarbon resin
to ink to will obtain results like fast drying, lightening, excellent printing performance etc.
