DEG is used as activator of silica, to adjust acid and alkaline balance , 

improve dispersion of carbon black , increase curing rate and crosslinking density , 

improve physical and mechanical properties of vulcanizates.

DEG is colorless transparent viscous liquid , with moisture absorbility , non-corrosive , 

mutually soluble in water , ethanol , acetone , ethyl ether , glycol. 

Insoluble in benzene , toluene , carbon tetrachloride.
